This isn’t so hard

I think updating this site is going to be a lot easier now that I’ve taken on the mindset of Twitter-esque “micro” blogging. It’s much easier to get motivated about a blog when you don’t feel like you need to write out 5 paragraphs every time you log in.

I do still want to eventually get back to writing tutorials, though. The last one I wrote (in 2007) isn’t even listed in my archives anymore and still gets hits every single day from other sources. I find that fascinating. I’d like to see if I can get a steady stream of visitors with 3 or 4 more tuts.

Now I just have to find the time for them.

Enjoying 5.1 Sound

I got my Onkyo 5.1 receiver a few months ago but today it seemed like I finally started appreciating it. Playing music all day (Mayer Hawthorne was my favorite) was a pleasure. I also decided to game a little bit and started playing Blur on the 360. The sound in-game is absolutely spectacular; I was blown away.

Some people may not be able to justify 500+ on a visual/auditory experience. I wasn’t sure about my purchases either. That said, I will never regret it and I’ll never go without it again.

Posting from my TV

Think I just decided to stop using my desktop pc on my actual desk. I got a wireless keyboard/mouse combo and now I’m using my 42″ lcd as my main monitor instead of the puny 27″ monitor.

FTW.

Gaining Influence

This Empire Ave thing is pretty neat. Honestly I don’t know too much about stocks or trading, but maybe this could be a good way to learn? Whatever, it’s just a fun social media game anyway :p

Testing Empire Avenue

Empire Avenue, along with my need to earn achievements and points that mean nothing to others, has rekindled the existence of this blog. I’ve deleted all previous posts and plan to update as much as I can.
