Can you handle that?!
XBL: LenasUchiha
Hello hello to everyone that never checks this site. Can’t blame you, I haven’t updated in months. I have been meaning to do updates, mainly tutorials (because that got crazy hits) but unfortunately, I’ve been busy. Why is that? You might ask. There can only be one real answer…
Video Games
Yes, video games. In case you haven’t noticed, the dreaded holiday season is upon us. Super Mario Galaxy for the (in case you didn’t know) Wii owns my soul. However, that is not the only video game urge I have found myself scratching lately.
I also found myself inside of Wal-Mart at 11:50pm a couple weeks ago because I decided that I finally wanted to get an Xbox 360. I went with the arcade version. The price point at $275 was far too close to the praised price of the Wii for me to keep putting it off any longer. It also happened to be the night I had been celebrating my last day at school, ever, so I was in a pretty good mood. I did this after a week of binge-headshots during Halo 3 sessions on XBL, playing on my brother’s account.
Aside from the obvious Halo 3 purchase, I also bought Guitar Hero 3. With my life total of playing Guitar Hero at a grand 10 minutes or so, I foolishly thought I could start out on medium. Bad idea. After losing fairly quick, I decided to start on easy which obviously was.. easy. Boring at times, but in one sitting I went through about 30 songs and a couple battles. I was obviously hooked.
Since then, I have gotten gold stars on most easy songs, I’ve 5-starred all of the medium tracks (TTFATF notwithstanding) and I am now playing on hard. I’ve gotten stuck at points and I’ve gotten past them, until now. Right now, I’m stuck in Tier 7. Now, by stuck, I don’t mean that I can’t pass one song. I mean that I can’t beat any of them. My best attempts are bringing me to 80% on Muse’s Knights of Cydonia, but all the other songs are beating me to my knees within the first 20 seconds. It’s quite frustrating, and I’m taking a break for a few days to cool off.
Of course, I wouldn’t be me if I stopped there. Two days ago I found myself at Toys ‘R Us to take advantage of their “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” deal on Wii games. I had gone planning to get Battalion Wars 2, Trauma Center 2 and Medal of Honor: Heroes. However, I had to change my plans a bit and substitute TC2 for Zack & Wiki due to a lack of copies. BWii has turned out pretty fun after a couple missions, and I haven’t had a chance to try Z&W yet due to time. MoH:H stays on hold until Christmas for my cousin.
Now, I have already gotten a lot of games recently, but I still feel pressured to get like 500 more. That’s the problem with the video game industry. They don’t give you shit most of the year, maybe 2-5 good games, and then from November to January they just cram gold down your throat and suck money out of you, while you don’t mind (nay, you even feel privileged) because you have turned into a consumer-drone video-game-whore and you can’t get enough.
Stop calling out my name, Mass Effect. You too, Assassin’s Creed.
