Semi-Vacation: Over

Life

I live with my grandma. I know, I’m 20, I need to move out. I’m working on it. But, for the past 2 and a half weeks, I’ve been living on my own. It’s been pretty fun. She went on a cruise / bus trip around New England / Canadia and will be arriving back home in San Diego sometime tomorrow morning, I think around 11am.

Good thing is.. Now I don’t have to cook for myself. Coming home after a 12-hour day and having to cook on top of that kind of sucks. Hellllooo, tv dinner, don’t mind if I do. It’s been good “practice” though, because I’ve been planning on moving out with a friend as a room mate and now I kind of know what it’s going to be like. Well, aside from bill-paying and what not, but I pay for stuff I use now so not much different I suppose.

School

I just started a Flash / Action Scripting class. Neither of which I’m very fond of. To top that off, I’ve got one of the strictest teachers in school demanding things like essays. Sorry, but I shouldn’t have to write reports when I’m supposed to be learning action script. I don’t care if this is college, stick to the source material and teach it. I can learn about how to write proper essays in the English course I have to take. Or, maybe, I already know how thanks to the four English courses I took in high school. You aren’t teaching me anything new here.

I’m so underwhelmed about taking this class, I’ve already missed two of the first three days. Two days already down, when I’m only allowed to miss three out of the whole 5-week course. Can’t say that I’m bummed out about it though, at least I didn’t have to sit through a remedial tutorial on how to animate a circle deforming, for the people who are too stupid to remember what they learned a couple months ago.
